The Ancholme Valley Heritage Trust Limited, also known locally as Brigg Heritage Centre, is a company limited by guarantee (registered no. 08764973) and a Registered Charity (no. 1157731) based at the Angel in the Market Place, Brigg. It has been operating now as a heritage centre for four years and the board of trustees is seeking to fill a vacancy for a trustee/director as from the next annual general meeting of the Trust which takes place at the beginning of June 2018.

This is an important opportunity to join a team of six other trustees/directors to guide the organisation forward as a major contributor to the heritage sector in northern Lincolnshire. This is a voluntary role since trustees of charities cannot by law be paid. In addition to fulfilling the duties of a trustee and director as required by law the vacancy offered takes a lead on all financial matters concerning the organisation. This includes budgetary control and management, financial administration and some of the annual statutory accounting requirements of a company/charity. In 2015/16 the trust had total incoming resources of about £44,000.

This vacancy would be most suitable for a person who has or has had a professional financial background and who may also have an interest in heritage matters.
