Key Skills for Community – Befriending and Mentoring Masterclass How does the role of a mentor differ to that of the befriender, counsellor or coach? What are the key considerations and tools for the mentor to use when supporting someone as an adult or young person? What do you need to set up a befriending scheme? This course will Monday 4th November 9.30 – 4.30 pm
An Introduction to Counselling Skills and Theories – This course will take you through the key counselling theories and skills. We will be using individual and group work to learn counselling skills and consider when they are most effective. Suitable for those who are new to counselling or would like to deepen their skills if they are already in a supportive role. Please note this is not counselling therapy. Monday 18th Nov 9.30 – 4.30 pm
Key Skills for Community – Evaluating Your Project

Don’t know your outcomes from your evidence? This course will enable you to consider your project or proposal and the best tools to evaluate the impact it will have.

 Mon 25th November 9.30 – 1 pm
Understanding and Managing Conflict more Effectively – this course is suitable for people who want to deal with conflict differently be it in the workplace, in a relationship or in families. Very useful pre xmas preparation!  Mon 2nd Dec 9.30 – 4.30.
FREE Cyber Security Training Course for Charities and VCS Organisations December 5th 9.30 – 1 pm.

National Cyber Security Training for Small Charities and Voluntary Sector organisations.

Do you know how to protect your organisation against a cyber-attack?

Have you thought about the risks to your charity if you were hacked, phished or your online presence crashed?

This is an opportunity to access free training supported by NAVCA and the NCSC. This session will enable you identify what where there are risks facing your organisation and what you can do to address those risks.

The session will cover the following:
– What is cyber security
– Threats that charities face
– Backing up your data
– Protecting your charity from malware
– Keeping your smartphones safe
– Using passwords
– Avoiding phishing attacks
– Reporting an incident If you would like to discuss the session

Do you Dread Christmas? Using Principles of wellness recovery action planning this session will help you plan for a Christmas you can cope with. You will be planning ahead for well being and stress management as well as considering what to do if things are really difficult. Free Course.
