Carol Thornton, known to many in her former role as a Community Development Worker, is starting her regular Funding Surgeries on 11th January.

In addition to the Services we offer below, we are delighted to welcome back in a new role as Fundraising Associate, Carol Thornton, who has been supporting the CVS in North Lincolnshire for many years as a Community Development Worker and will now holding monthly funding surgeries here at VANL. Sessions last 1 hour, and will develop a plan for funding bids, and cost just £20 for Members and £25 for Non-Members. For any organisation seeking funding, these sessions are a MUST for any organisation who is looking for new equipment, new staff funding or simply to see what project funding is available! There is more out there than you may think!! To book in call 01724 845155 or email enquiries@vanl.org.uk

VANL offers funding advice, plus much more, for smaller voluntary and community organisations.

VANL staff help small voluntary and community organisations, not just with funding advice, but with a range of other help and support. Organisations from outside North Lincolnshire will be charged for the service. Priority is given to smaller organisations with under £100,000 a year, and that are not already able to access support from, for example, a national umbrella organisation. There may be a cost for some services, but our members receive a huge discount, and membership costs just £20 per year!

Other services available from VANL which can help your organisation include:

Health Checks

Each organisation will be offered an analysis of their current funding position, highlighting things the organisation might do to improve its funding capacity.

Development Support

Where necessary, organisations may be offered further support to address issues for improvement to increase their fundraising capacity.

Before calling us, check to see if your question is answered here.

Where appropriate, VANL staff will signpost organisations to other appropriate sources of funding advice and organisational development support, such as community accountancy, IT support, specialised assistance with contracts and tendering etc.

VANL offers training on a range of fundraising and many other topics to help organisations to improve their fundraising capacity. Training sessions can be set up by arrangement to suit your organisation, or you can attend a scheduled session.
