How does Street Talk work?
We make contact with young people on their turf, giving them information on healthy lifestyle choices, and encourage them to explore issues. We operate the C Card scheme and provide condoms as appropriate, often working in areas where young people are unable to access mainstream CHOICES
What is different about us?
We work in the evenings, out on the streets, in parks, around youth groups, just places where young people congregate. We use detached youth work skills to engage the young people. We engage with far more males than females.

What areas do we cover?
Broughton, Hibaldstow, Scawby, Crowle, Burringham, Keadby, Gunness, Barrow, Barnetby, New Holland, Goxhill, Winteringham, Barton, Burton. Parks and youth centres in Scunthorpe Anywhere that young people need us!
Team Promote Services
We recognise that young peoples needs are as individual as the young people themselves, giving them information to help them to choose the best services for them.We encourage them to use CHOICES, and promote mainstream services as the preferred option.

Issues that the team have advised young people about
- Alcohol, and its effects
- Future career plans
- Education and jobs.
- Drugs, particularly cannabis
- Help with stopping smoking
- How to influence Community issues
- e.g lack of transport, leisure activities,

- Self esteem
- Exam stress
- Relationships
